The Stunning Science of Everything (Horrible Science) [27/4/10]

I felt rather inspired today after hearing this review. If you are one of those people that just doesnt like science then this is most deifinitely the book for you. Nick told everyone today how reading this book made him more interested in science everytime he read it. I also pointed out that it was like a film, everytime you watch it you notice another minor detail that you never noticed before. Science gets the usual "Horrible treatment" as this is a series which is related to the much loved Horrible Histories Collection.

Taking a journey from the very small, to the very big, readers will be taken on a glorious tour of everything in science from the smallest thing ever to the horribly huge universe. Individual chapters cover atoms, molecules, light and sound, microbes, diseases, bugs, humans and the body, animals, the earth and outer space. And it's all in glorious full colour!

  1. Well done Nick!
I always used to hate science when I was at school - maybe this book might have inspired me.
I expect by now you will have seen the Carnegie books. I bet Shivani was pleased that "The Ask and the Answer" is on the shortlist!
Lots of the usual authors again this year. Don't be put off - keep reading!
    Thinking of you all
