I think this book is excellent because it is about real life issues. It is about a girl called Kim who moves schools and meets a girl called Maria Sweet (AKA Sugar). Could she fall in love with best friend?. I will leave the rest to your imagination.
It was then made into a tv series which was cancelled after 2 seasons.
