Mrs Kings Diary

Thursday, June 23, 2010

I knew this was Jake's choice as soon as I started to read the review! I'm sure it hasn't been in the library for that long. Hope all exams are now coming to an end and you've had time to read the Carnegie books. Awards Day today! I have just looked up the Carnegie winner on the website and am rather surprised - I don't think this would have been Turnford's choice!

Have a good celebration

Well done Nick!
I always used to hate science when I was at school - maybe this book might have inspired me.
I expect by now you will have seen the Carnegie books. I bet Shivani was pleased that "The Ask and the Answer" is on the shortlist!
Lots of the usual authors again this year. Don't be put off - keep reading!

Thinking of you all

I love this week's choice for BOTW - who chose it?
A reminder that the shortlists for Carnegie and Greenaway awards will be announced on Friday 23rd
Check CKG website for titles
Mrs Saunders should be receiving the books early next week
Perhaps you could tell everyone on Tuesday at BOTW
Keep up the good work Martin!
I miss you all but think of you every Tuesday around 1.40 pm!

Best wishes
